SoMA Symposium on 'Making Sense of Communities'
Description
How do we conceptualise community in our research fields? How can we make sense of an inquiry into the diversity of communities that take shape in human and more-than-human forms, with different categories of agency, life, and living? We encourage our presenters to think through how our human and more-than-human participants teach and challenge us to explore communities through our senses. How are we unlearning using our senses in our perception of community? How can we use proprioception and interoception to embody communities?
A summary of the SoMA Symposium 2022, paper abstracts, and speaker profiles will be published on the Edinburgh Centre of Medical Anthropology’s new dedicated blog, Health-E.
