SoMA Symposium on 'Making Sense of Communities'
In our first in-person SoMA Symposium back after pandemic restrictions, we turn our attention to community. What does it mean to come together as a community again? Many of the recent preoccupations of the current moment can be understood as questions of community – from climate change, pandemics, precarity in academia, to decolonial reckonings. Our understanding of community here is broad, encompassing a diversity of human and more-than-human ecologies, kinships and structures both local and global.
